Launching with an apt celebration of the Royal Navy’s 2023 deployment in the Red Sea, Ocean Outdoor UK is to be the exclusive DOOH partner of Gunwharf Keys, Portsmouth’s premium retail and leisure outlet centre.
Attracting more than 7.3 million shoppers with a £321m spending potential (CACI 2025), the external large format portrait screen measuring 5.76mx 3.84m overlooks City Quay Square, with space below for experiential activations and brand sampling. The screen could deliver nearly 300,000 impacts per fortnight.
Gunwharf Keys presents a significant opportunity for brands looking to take advantage of the last minute Christmas shopping rush, and footfall will be just as heavy as bargain hunters head out for the Boxing Day and January sales. Nick Shaw, Ocean Outdoor UK incoming CEO, said: “Ocean ends the year with a fantastic new contract and a massive last minute opportunity for brands to tap into audiences at the busiest time of the year.”
Ocean also manages the DOOH contract for Piccadilly Lights in London on behalf of Landsec which was extended earlier this year. The Gunwharf Keys site forms part of Landsec’s multi-million pound ongoing investment in its popular waterfront shopping and leisure attraction which is classed as a top 1% retail destination.
