Kingfisher reels in new head of retail media

DIY group Kingfisher, parent company of B&Q and Screwfix, has appointed former Amazon Ads and AlixPartners’ retail media specialist, Hélène Trad, as retail media director.

The company, about to enter its third year in retail media, says it looks forward to Trad bringing “deep expertise in retail media and data-driven growth strategies”.

Romain Roulleau, Kingfisher digital director, said of the appointment: ”Retail media is a fast-growing opportunity for Kingfisher, as part of our wider digital ecosystem, where we are leveraging our strong e-commerce presence and customer data to create new value streams.

“Hélène’s experience in building scalable frameworks and driving innovation across global markets will help us unlock new opportunities for our customers and brand partners alike,” he added.

At consulting AlixPartners, Trad was most recently director of revenue & growth, retail and media, working across Europe, the US and Middle East. For Amazon Ads, she was head of strategy, insight and analytics, and global business operations. She was

Prior to that, she worked with Amazon Ads where she established the Global Strategy, Insights and Analytics function, in order to develop revenue growth across Europe, Japan and the US.
