On Thursday 14th May, a who’s who of the retail media industry gathered at Horizon 22, located at the summit of the tallest building in the City of London, for the Retail MediaX Awards.
The assembled crowd, in the midst of phenomenal views of London and live music from a talented group of players, came together following an action-packed day of discussion and talks at the Commerce Media Festival to celebrate the outstanding work of their fellow professionals.
The Retail MediaX Awards, for which Retail Media Age is a media partner, recognised remarkable organisations, campaigns and figures across 10 categories: Retail Media Network of the Year, Full Funnel Campaign of the Year, Effective Use of Retail Media, Retail Media Technology Solution of the Year, Retail Media Team of the Year, Rising Star, Retail Media Person of the Year, Retail Media Connect, Women in Retail Media, Best Use of Insights and Data, and Creative in Retail Media.
The event was compèred by Colin Lewis, Chair of Retail MediaX. Of the nominees for the Awards, Lewis said,
“The Retail MediaX 2026 entries were a clear sign of how much the retail media industry has matured. The quality and standard was so high that every category prompted robust debate among the judges.
“In the end, the winners were the entries that presented the clearest evidence — identifying the challenge, setting out a focused strategy, making deliberate choices about the role of retail media, and demonstrating measurable results and commercial impact.
“What stood out most this year was the growing sophistication of the sector and the increasing importance of retail media within wider commerce and marketing strategies.”< The Awards were judged by an independent panel of retail media leaders, practitioners and commerce specialists, who were given the difficult task of selecting the winners from a competitive line-up of candidates.
